On January 30th, we had the pleasure of hosting our first Building Connections Event to introduce The Retreat at Cobblestone, our newest community in Medina. With over 40 attendees, it was a standing-room-only event filled with excitement, energy, and a strong sense of community.
This event was a true team effort, a reflection of the vision and leadership of Katie Lancianese, President of New Leaf Homes. Since founding the company in 2020, Katie has been the driving force behind our mission: not just to build homes, but to create enriching communities where homeowners can thrive. Under her leadership, New Leaf Homes has built a reputation for quality, connection, and thoughtful design, and The Retreat at Cobblestone is our latest step in bringing that vision to life.

The night kicked off with an introduction to New Leaf Homes, our deep-rooted family business that has been developing and building in Northeast Ohio for decades. Q: What types of homes will be available at The Retreat at Cobblestone?
A: We’re offering thoughtfully designed, low-maintenance, first-floor homes with open-concept floor plans, private courtyards, and optional bonus suites. View the models here.
Q: Will the homes have basements?
A: Think of the homes ‘upside down.’ It’s a ranch home, but the ‘basement’ is upstairs in the bonus room. Our homeowners seek us out SPECIFICALLY because they don’t want steps in their homes. We realized it didn’t make sense to add steps when that is not what people wanted.
Q: Can I personalize my home?
A: We have a design center with many options. Our design team stays up to date with current trends and ensures we have the best product with a wide variety of styles. We buy from national distributors that have access to in stock product that homeowners will want in their home.
Community Amenities & Lifestyle
Q: What amenities will the community have?
A: The Retreat at Cobblestone will feature a clubhouse, green space, and social events designed to foster a connected and engaging lifestyle. We will host pickle ball tournaments, bourbon and wine clubs, card clubs, yoga and exercise at the clubhouse, and holiday celebrations.
Q: What does “low-maintenance living” mean?
A: It means that lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal are all handled for you, so you can focus on enjoying your home and community. You can lock your door and leave and when you return everything will have been handled while you were gone. Many of our homeowners are snowbirds or travel frequently and love the freedom of not managing maintenance of their home or yards while they are gone.
Timeline & Next Steps
Q: When will construction start?
A: If timing works out, we will be starting construction on our first homes in the summer of 2025. The first homeowners will move in the first part of 2026. We will be hosting a reservation event that will allow you to select your homesite and begin making selections.
Q: How do I reserve a home site?
A: We will host a reservation night. Everyone in attendance will be given raffle ticket. We will raffle the order. Everyone will be invited to select their homesite. Celebrate with us, with no obligation to reserve a homesite. It’s a great chance to meet other people that are interested and get a better idea of what the community will look like. We’ll have food and drinks.

A: Join our VIP list or reach out to our team to receive updates on floor plans, pricing, and future events.
